Florida Polytechnic University in Lakeland, Florida, is a striking study in contemporary architecture, defined by bold geometry, sculptural forms, and an ongoing dialogue between architecture, landscape, light, and water.

At the heart of the campus is the iconic Innovation, Science and Technology (IST) Building, designed by internationally renowned architect Santiago Calatrava, who also developed the university’s original master plan.

Its sweeping white steel structure, curved pergolas, reflective surfaces, and distinctive operable roof create an extraordinary architectural centerpiece.

The campus has continued to evolve with complementary contemporary buildings, including the Applied Research Center designed by HOK, creating a visually dynamic environment that was a remarkable project to photograph.
